5th Grade TAKS Science

Our TAKS Buster series for 5th Grade Science prepares students throughout Texas for the required Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS) and Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills (TAKS) objectives to test students' science proficiency. The emphasis is on scientific processes and concepts. Topics in scientific process include field and laboratory investigations; use of scientific methods during investigations; critical thinking and scientific problem solving; and use of tools and methods to conduct scientific inquiries. Topics in scientific concepts include understanding a system as a collection of cycles, structures, and process that interact; change occurrence in cycles; physical properties of matter; forms of energy; surival adaptations of a species; likenesses between offspring and parents; and cause and effect relationships. This book contains over 200 practice questions aligned to each TEKS objective. In addition the book contains an answer key to practice questions.
