Privacy Policy
At Teachers' Treasures, Inc., we collect email address, phone, and mailing address information from our customers to facilitate the order transaction process and to communicate to our customers regarding their requests and concerns. This contact information is only used internally. We respect your right to privacy, and we do not share this information with other companies. Similarly, the billing information we collect when you make a purchase is used only in the processing of your transactions and is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
Secure Transactions
Teachers' Treasures, Inc. uses a secure server and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect your billing and credit card information when you are placing an order. SSL technology encrypts the communication between you and Teachers' Treasures, Inc., by allowing only Teachers' Treasures, Inc. access to your information.
Our site will redirect you into a secure environment when you arrive at our order form pages to submit an order. In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. Most browsers version 3.x and later support SSL. To check that the connection is secure, look at the URL bar at the top of your browser window. The first characters in this line will be "https://" when a secure connection is established, as opposed to the "http://" that appears when your connection is not secure. In addition, a "locked padlock" or "key" icon should appear at the bottom of most types of browser windows when a connection is secure.
We have implemented the secure server and secure certificate of Netnation, our application service provider company. On our secure webpages, you will notice that our URL begins with "https://id408.van.ca.siteprotect.com/teacherstreasures/" rather than the usual "http://www.teacherstreasures.com." When visiting the secure areas of our site, you may double-click the "Padlock" icon in the bottom of Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers to view Netnation's secure certificate information. The use of Netnation's secure server will allow all data transfer to be encrypted, secure, and accessible only by Teachers' Treasures, Inc.
Under consumer protection laws, you are protected against illegal, unauthorized use of your credit card. The U.S. Federal law states that your legal liability in the case of unauthorized card use is limited to $50. Notify your issuing bank if you have reason to believe that your credit card number has been used without your permission. |
